Just got back from a SD duck hunt, and then headed straight up to deer camp! It's nice to be home again, but the trips were great! I'm excited to read about the MN reports, and see how everybody has been doing in MN hunting fowl. During our drive back from the Detroit Lakes area, we saw mixed birds-- with many geese around the Fergus area. Mallards were scarce in the areas that we came through, but I'm sure that could have had a lot to do with the time of day we were driving. Kind of different from all of the birds that we saw out west!

Can't wait to try out spots around the area to really see if the migrant birds have moved in! We saw the beginning of the migration for white geese during our trip, although we didn't harvest any. The mallards were another story though smile.gif
