Bassman Tourney Prior Lake

Recommended Posts

To all,
Can we say tough? The day could not have been any prettier-not too hot, not too cold, and just a little wind. Unfortunately, the skiers, tubers, wakeboarders, jet skiers, pleasure boaters, and lots of other fishermen, also noticed these wonderful conditions.
Fishing and boating pressure can often equal pretty tough fishing conditions, and for most of us it did, however there is always someone who can overcome these conditions and be successful. Saturday was no exception as Brian and Matt Jung spanked us with an 18lb, 4oz bag of prior lake piggies. Local favorites, Joe ecklund and Jim Schemionek also right up there, with an 18lb,1oz bag. Others did well, but all agreed it was not easy. Is tournament fishing ever easy?

I would have to agree Tom, there sure was alot of "traffic" out there that day, but the fish were where we needed them to be and look at that we won. Its all fun and no tournament fishing is never easy just exciting!

I will see you on Minnetonka, for I feel another win coming!

I prefished this past Thursday for an upcoming tournament this coming Saturday and being my 1st time on this lake I've never seen so much boat traffic on a weekday. It's as bad a St. Croix & Minnetonka weekends. Can't imagine what this weekend would be like, probably wouldn't be able to get up to planing speed to cross the lake. But anyways we're expecting to top 24lbs for weigh-in.
