Baitchaser
We have a group of around 14 guys and gals staying at a cabin on Viola lake Dec. 29-Jan. 1. Some of us would like to get out and do some fishing during the day. Not looking to keep anything, but would most likely set up some tip-ups and then jig for some gills. Is this lake worth exploring or would we have better luck on a nearby lake? We would be limited to walking out. Thanks in advance!
wormdunker
Fished this lake for 20 years. Has had good years and not so good. The truth is it has an occasional big pike, record numbers of small to very small pike. Large mouth have seemed to decline in size. Crappies are the lakes #1 species but even they are on the down turn.My suggestion, go elsewhere.
