Question

Just picked this up and put it together to keep the minnows alive. Was wondering if it works well for others and how long the battery last on the air pump? Should I run it all night to keep minnows alive or to save battery can I just run it every few hours?

Just don't want my batteries to die over night.. they are expensive

I picked one of them up during the summer and am quite pleased with it. If you have the one with the foam insulation, that will keep the water cold longer. I have ran the battery air pump for more than overnight non-stop. I've always used alkaline batteries to maximize life. Well worth the money spent.

this is what i do for my minnows, i have created a minnow bin out of a older cooler with a battery air pump, but when i get home i also have a regular home pump i put in to keep the use of batteries longer. i also have a 125 gal tank too for my musky sucker's and sometimes i will put the minnows in there to give them room, but i rarly do that

I just flip mine on for 10-15 minutes every 4-5 hours. But I run it non stop when out on the ice..... you can also just go pick up a regular aquarium pump and just disconnect the hose from the battery operated one and hook it to the plug in one and back and fourth as well, then you have both options....
