dan z
I know decoys are getting really expensive and slotted bags are a must. but why the heck do they cost so much! and why dont they make them fit perfect! I have GHG lessers, GHG mallards actives and sleepers. The bags they say to use on these decoys seem tight to me. they work but my mind is telling me to wrap the decoys with plastic bags and then put them in the slots. the condura just doesnt seem soft enough to be the best fabric for the paint. I did find a bag that I really like from the rogers company for my sleepers.the slots are 8x8x14 and the decoys just seem to fit perfect! the avery boys said use the regular FB mallard bag I found out the retracta basees dont fit! why cant ghg/avery have a bag that fits perfect not "tight" not "loose". What are your guys/gals thoughts on slotted bags...
Maxxed Out
It's funny the more decoys you have and the less space the decs have room to bounce around the less they wear from not being bagged. I used to bag all my decs but it's just not practical to bag 15-20 dozen fullbodies when you're taking them in an out of the trailer a couple of times a day. Stay away from FA bags they are the worst. I do have about 30 6 slot Hard core bags sitting in my garage that I never took out of the box. They are large enough to fit a hard core decoy with the base attached in each slot. [Note from admin: Your post has been edited. Please read forum policy before posting again. carpshooterdeluxe
I've never had a problem with lessers in the ghg lesser bags. I think those bags are one thing avery actually does right. Mack's PW catalog always has a chart in it that states what bag to use for what ghg decoy.
Roosterslayer05
The bags cost way too much. Just dont buy GHG decoys. They have terrible durability. They look great but they dont hold up, and if you want them to hold up you have to pay an extra 40 dollars a half dozen for a bag.
Scott M
If you pay attention on Rogers, they will sometimes throw in the bag for free as well as shipping when buying full bodies.
