Northlander-- Help please

Northlander,

I saw you are running a 2004 Lund Explorer w/ a Yamaha F115. What prop are you running on your rig?

I am running a 2002 Mr Pike 17 w/ the Yamaha F115 and am still looking for props to try in Stainless. So far the only prop I have tried on my rig was a Merc Laser II 17" pitch and my RPM's were only 5200.

Since your rig is almost the identical rig w/ a slightly different layout I thought yours would be a great comparison.

What pitch 4 blade would be a good start for others who see this? 15"?

Thanks Marine Man. I am suprised by the 19" pitch doing that much differently than the 17" pitch Laser II.

I will have to call Jay and see what I can work out.

If I recall correctly Im now running a Turbo Stainless 13 by 17 that works better for me. I get 5900 rpm at wot and on average 41 mph. Great hole shot and it holds great in corners.

Best alum prop I found was a 13 3/4 by 17 Yamaha. See my other post answering to your 1st.
