hamms-scooter Posted January 12, 2010 Share Posted January 12, 2010 Where do you guys fish for walleyes when fishing humps and points?In deeper water off the edge of them ? up the slope a bit? on all sides or just off the tip of a point? on the shallow shore side of humps or the deeper side ? thanks for any help given.. waterbound Posted January 12, 2010 Share Posted January 12, 2010 I would fish the deeper water off the edge during the day and up on top of the hump at night. All the sides should be good but it would depend on the access to deeper water nearby and other structural elements. If you're fishing a saddle or something similar where the fish would mainly be passing through I would fish off the tip of the point, maybe a little deeper if the sun will be rising or shallower if it's setting.
