My 5 month old Brittany's one eye has started to drain enough so that it is matting down his fur under the eye. When looking at it today I noticed that his eyes were both pink. Can a dog get pink eye? If so how would you go about treating it. If not what else could it be?

Yeah, they can get conjunctivitis. Is it yellow/green? If so, I'd take him/her to the vet. It could be a few things...conjunctivitis, a piece of grass in the eye, a scratch. Try flushing the eye with saline solution (for contacts). It it's still weeping, go to the vet. They'll likely stain the eye to rule out a scratch, and you'll get drops if it turns out to be conjunctivitis.
