I just baught my boat last year and the guy I baught it from used (not sure I can say the brand) oil. I was just wondering if once you start with one kind of oil does it hurt to change brands on a boat motor??

I made the switch from a conventional oil to amsoil. Worked good. All I did was run the boat til most of the "old" oil was used up and then topped my tank off with amsoil. Im running a 2-stroke so there was much less smoke with the amsoil. No problems switching over.
