I've had two boats with the 115 optimax, both crestliners, never had a problem with either one very quiet at idle, easy on fuel and oil, plenty of power.

I have owned 2 1750 fish hawks, a well built boat never had any problems with anything lots of storage space, easy to load and unload!

i would go for the crestliner six years newer, bigger trolling motor and a foot longer boat, the mercury 125 is a pretty reliable motor lots of them out there! unless money is the driving force, then the lund would be ok too! -

ive had two opti's always ran merc optimax/dfi oil and mercury quick clean in the fuel, never had a single problem with either one! congratulations on the new boat!! -

im on my third crestliner boat and have never had any issues with how they handle their warranty work or treated me! sorry you had a bad experience!

Speed prop on 1750 Fishhawk 115 Optimax?

i have a 2006 1750 fish hawk with a 115 optimax, i run a 17 pitch for better hole shot and pulling skiers, also have a 19 pitch both aluminum, with one person gear and gas 17 runs 41 mph on gps 19 runs 44 mph on gps not alot of difference -
im on my 2nd optimax 1 have a 2006 115 opti now, been perfect, good power, good on gas , very quiet compared to 150 optis

any idea on when these are coming out? replacing verado 150?

i also have had dish and direct tv in my opinion direct tv is the better of the two, way better customer service

im on my second boat with the 115 opti, trolls down slow, very fuel effiecent, never had a problem with them, turn key and go!

i did some more looking around and found out the differences between the 2 motors, the 125 has carbon fiber reeds instead of stainless steel,a diiferent air intake silencer,exhaust port tuning, and ecm updates for fuel flow and spark advance.

i have a 2006 115 optimax, wondering whats different in the new 125 optimax, can mine be updated to get 125 horsepower?
