  1. Just got back from Kewaunee. Fish were still scattered, but water temp. is definitely up. Caught fish on just about everything, glow spoons, flasher/fly off of dipsies, and j-plug with SWR rig. Biggest fish came off the SWR. Will be back in August.
  2. Thinking about putting in a geo-thermal system for heating and air-conditioning. Anyone have any experience with these systems?
  3. Looking for information on fishing walleye in the Bay. We fish salmon out of Kewaunee in July and August and just looking for an alternative if we get blown off the big lake. If anyone can give me an information source, it would be appreciated.
  4. Thanks for the update. FSN it is!!

    ESPN360

OK guys help me out. I see that the Gopher game is on ESPN360. Can someone tell me what the steps are to getting this on my home computer? Or, am I going to have to find a local establishment that is carrying it? Any help for a computer illiterate would be appreciated. Thanks!
  6. K-Dawg, the Gophs have Michigan St. on Sunday at 3:00. Their next game on ESPN is against Iowa on Feb. 9. Man these guys are fun to watch this year. Hopefully they will get over the hill on sunday and finish the job with a W.
  7. Headed to Bush's Landing next week. Just wondering if anyone has a report from this area?
  8. Klipsch here. Very crisp, clean sound, even with the volume up.
  9. Nice pics Buzzsaw. Did anyone get one of Okposo's goal on Saturday? I wasn't able to see the game, but the replay video is amazing. How does he do that??? Quite a talented individual.

    Gophs #1

Wow, 52 shots on goal? I feel for Michigan's goalie. He'll be seeing pucks in his sleep tonight. Great game for the Goph's. They have been fun to watch this year. Is it too early to start singing "Meet me in St. Louie"????
  11. First off, let me say that I am a supporter for using 2 rods while fishing and do it often when on the Mississippi and in South Dakota. I wish Minnesota would open it to inland waters too. BUT, the law is the law! We were fishing a local lake (Zumbro) for some panfish last week and a couple of guys in a red and white Warrior come trolling by us. It was quite obvious that one of the guys was fishing with 2 rods. This kind of stuff really p*#@+s me off and I was going to say something to him, but didn't want to make a scene in front of my fishing partner. Just wondering what fellow FM'ers would have done in this situation. I mentioned the color and make of his boat just in case he checks this site and perhaps will think before he does this again. Maybe next time he won't be so lucky!
  12. Yes, I unhooked the antenna from the back and still blow a fuse. Very frustrating!!
  13. I'm having problems with my marine radio. It will receive just fine, but as soon as I key the mike it blows a fuse. It worked fine this spring, but all of a sudden started acting up. I turned all other electronics off and it still pops the fuse. Even tried a new radio with the same results. Any ideas????
  14. Anyone have a suggestion on boat ramps on this lake? I've never been on it and am looking for some information. Just a pleasure ride this fall. Would be coming from the east. Thanks for any info.
  15. Hey Jiggin' it was fun fishing with you guys. I'm still popping fuses on my marine band so looks like another trip to the shop. Sorry I couldn't chat on the water, but there was anough entertainment on the radio anyway. Maybe we can make another trip this fall. We're headed to the 'sippi tomorrow, so tell your friends at work to turn their heads if they see a Ranger flying through town. Later.
  16. Nope, not Bob, but we were just over there and I can give you some suggestions. E-mail me, dprescher52@hotmail.com
  17. KQRS is sponsoring a gas sale tomorrow somewhere in the twin towns for 92 cents/gallon for 90 minutes. That should be interesting!!!!
  18. I'm thinking it's the battery too. It's an Everstart battery that get's fully charged (+13) according to my locator gauges. I had this happen on a previous rig, but it was after running the live well and locator for 8-9 hours, not 3-4 hours.
  19. This is on a brand new rig, just bought it this spring!!! The dealer claims the battery and motor are o.k. That's what makes it so puzzling. I just don't want to get stuck dead on the water.
  20. Yes, all electronics are hooked to the starter battery. The trolling motor has it's own batteries. I just don't think 2 locators and a live well running on a timer should drain the battery that quick.
  21. I'm having trouble keeping my starter battery charged up all day long. I'm running 2 locators and the live well and after 4-5 hours my starter is almost too low to start my motor. Would hooking 2 batteries in parallel solve this problem or does anyone have any other ideas? Thanks
  22. PJ- e-mail me at dprescher52@hotmail.com. I have a question regarding your boat.
  23. Sgt. Rock, I prefer it on the drivers side, just ahead of the windshield, but I do alot of drift fishing with the rod out the passenger side, my feet up on the passengers seat and relaxing while fishing. Also, it's usually out of the way when trolling too. With the antenna in the back, this can be an issue. Especially when it comes netting time! There doesn't seem to be a clear cut answer, just depends how you fish.
  24. Just bought a boat that has a Lowrance 135 in the dash. I will be mounting an x-19 on the dash also. I don't think these units can be used at the same time. Should I mount transducers for both units or just one transducer with a switch to go from one unit to the other as needed?
