All of them are going to be very picky about jetting. A Holtzman Tempa-Flow Will pretty much fix that. The suspension will be very stiff on all of them, unless the shocks have been revalved., so they won't be very comfortable if he is planning on trail riding. They require alot more maintenance than a trail sled. Small parts such as bushings are going to need to be replaced more often. Great sleds if he is an agressive rider and he (or you) like to do a little wrenching.. They are meant to be ridden standing up. Just my 2 cents.

From my understanding- it's not the number of bearings that matters so much as the quality of them. -
I have a fenwick HMX medium light. Fewnwick is the brand i prefer over any other. The Techna AV is like twice the price of an hmx so i would think it would be great. But thats coming from someone, who just like you, has never held one.

i googled it and saw quite a few people on forums that hated it, but quite a few who love it. So it apparently isn't JUST you moviking! I suppose it's like anything else- some people hate it, others love it. I guess some things are just junk and all people hate them but i think Crystal is just about personal preferance.

Just wondering if its any good? I was at Cabel's in Rogers this past weekend and i bought a shimano sahara and had them put crystal on it but i havent got out to try it yet. I really like the smoky color Fireline but supposedly its not just the color thats different?
