  1. I had looked everywhere and could not find one. The thing I like about the one I have now is that it is virtually indestructible and snaps shut tight.
  2. I ran into the same problem and just kept it in the box last year. This year I went and bought a hard, crushproof, waterproof box just larger than the lantern (without the propane bottle) at GM and used some pliable rubber and shoe-goo to make a nice tight fit. Now it can take a beating and works great and I even put it away hot.
  3. not hso list,,, the one by craig
  4. saw one identical to this on c's list today for $50
  5. Recently got a pair of Muck Arctic Pros and wow are they awesome. I know it hasn't been real cold yet but I have a feeling I will never wear my pac boots again.
  6. Sorry bud but I buy my beer and bait on the way home and ride to the lake. Different strokes for different folks! No reason to take mine off on the ride to the lake.
  7. hahaha,,,, that sucks,,,, just got off of the ice with four eyes iced and lots of action,,,, i do feel for you and would have rescued you if i had known!!!
  8. All I wear is UA long johns under my bibs and stay plenty warm. No need for jeans. The isssue I have is riding the wheeler or sled standing up the wind blows through. Gonna get mine sewn shut since I don't use em.
  9. heck yeah,,, love the mustard yellow
  10. Don't like it myself. I'm going to have my wife sew them shut. I don't wear jeans so no need to get to the pockets.
  11. I dont think Smittys has sleepers or at lease they didnt when we were there. Might be tough to find.
  12. Actually the hub houses work great in the wind if you have a system and stick to it. Ive been in 20-25 mph winds with no problems. You can't just pop them open or you are going to have problems. When it is windy screw all four corners in before you pop it open. Then use the last two ice screws to hold out the two walls most facing the wind. That being said I have an Eskimo and would not buy some other brands.
  13. my qf3 is great in the wind once you get used to it and learn the tricks. no sled here just strap it on the atv. would never go back.
  14. I think the eskimo ice anchors are great! I thought about trying the ice climbing screws but "if it ain't broke,,,,,,"
  15. shizzy, It's fine by me too. Never claimed it wasn't a good deal. However I think many including myself were lead to believe it was a one time purchase that would continually update. (ie last year everyone was asking when the pinch screen update was coming???)
  16. Ok then im going to upgrade. Does anyone know if we will need to buy a new one every year now? I was under the understanding that pinch screen and the better stuff would continue to update on lakes north?
  17. So what you are saying is that the newest version is worth downloading even if I downloaded the lakes north last year at this time? Is it a whole new app or does it just update my current version? What are the perks to the newest download vs the one I have? Can't decide if I should get it or go with the one I have???
  18. Agreed you are going to sweat some in any suit if moving enough.
  19. Seems like everyone is always quick to call "[PoorWordUsage]" or "stupid +++" before knowing all of the facts. If these guys did their homework and something crazy happened then so be it. Thank God we have people who are ready and willing to help. I for one have made mistakes and just try to learn from them. Let's just be glad everyone is safe. An ATV can be replaced,,, a life can't.
  20. Great job! Not many would go above and beyond to pick up after slobs like that.
  21. When it's REALLY windy I screw all four corners down and then take the two walls most faced into the wind and pull them out and snap caribiners I have tied on to each rope into the two remaining pre-drilled screws. Then pop the other two walls and ceiling out. Only takes a few minutes and I've never had a problem yet and I've fished some very strong wind. My QF3 came with a large pin to hook my license holder to a loop on the house by the door. It has worked well also.
  22. This happened at the Brainerd tourney about 4 yrs ago also. Jaycees admitted the mistake but it wasn't caught until after it was too late so they didn't change anything.
