  1. They sell the grommet press kit at Ace Hardware.
  2. If you can wait.. I would wait until next season. All the drill units you are gonna find this season are gonna be the "China made ones" so take a pass on it .
  3. Maybe this time Vexilar will actually finally introduce a real "all new" revolutionary flasher unit instead of adding a pen light or cup holder and calling it the latest and greatest Super Duper Mega Ultra combo pack. http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=NpdBMMPfdBo&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DNpdBMMPfdBo
  4. Before a storm has always been good for me too.... as a matter of fact... Just got back from fishing an East Central lake too.. we did very well in just two hours of fishing 12 to 14 feet... two person limit on pannies.
  5. My question would be... .why in the world would an "Authorized Strikemaster Repair Center" charge you anything in the first place for repair work that would be covered "under the two year SOLO engine warranty" ??? To me that seems like the shop is just passing the buck around and forcing the customer to deal with reimbursement on a warranty issue. At least you got your reimbursement.. but I bet there are others that were not as successful as you and just ate it on this type of thing.
  6. What if you buy the Lifetime license while a resident and then you happen to move out and away from the State of Minnesota? Are you still covered under the license to fish here in MN then when you return to visit or later return to reside here?
  7. And don't forget the Free $50 gift card for spending upwards of $350 on your total purchase. Good deals to be had.
  8. In gonna guess that this difference is more the result of the ability of the lx7 screen to display the higher resolution as compared to the lx6 screen. Not necessarily that one unit is higher definition than the other technogically.
  9. As with any kind of auger... to get rid of the slush or at the very least minimize it.. I always just give it a bit of a rev before lifting the auger out of the hole. This virtually leaves the hole clean with only a slight amount of slush left to be scooped if needed. More often than not... If I am hole hopping.. I don't even bother with cleaning out the holes completely as I won't be spending more than a minute or two at each hole. If you use this method.. it shouldn't matter which auger brand you are using in terms of amount of slush left behind.
  10. +1 I like this idea the most. It will give you the most versatility.
  11. Don't worry about it... it's very simple.. just a few screws to take the cover off and then replace with the new handle. It just sits in place sandwiched between the cover and the case. You may also have to remove the kill switch and remount it onto the new handle.
  12. I will take all the Eskimo ice anchors from you. I can pick them up right away. Let me know when you can meet. I am available most afternoons. cichlid_baby@hotmail.c o m Thanks.
  13. I can already see it... Just wait until you get a bit of moisture build up in the roof fabric to weigh it down some or a slight drizzle.. then you're really gonna notice those roof poles aren't gonna cut it.
  14. The 9 inch has been discontinued for a while now.. I wonder what the availability for blades will be in a few years for this size? When I had the 7 and 9 inch Strikemasters a few seasons ago. what I found was that it was hard to find these size blades on the shelf at many of the retailers as most only carried the 8 and 10 inch sizes as regular stock. We were out at Mille Lacs a few years ago and drilled into some dirty ice that has some sand in it and it severely dulled my brand new 7 inch auger to the point that we could not cut any ice at all. Only got 3 holes drilled before we ran into that dirty ice. Needless to say. We had to come home because we weren't able to find replacement blades anywhere as it was later in the season and stock inventory was low at most of the places out there.
