Antenna Question

Hibbing

Question

I am in the process of installing a CD/AM/FM radio in my boat. I currently have a marine radio instaled with a 4 foot antenna that came with the radio. Can I get some type of a splitter so I can use one antenna with two radios? Any help deeply appreciated.

Jeff

Yes, there is a module you can buy that will allow you to use the VHF antenna for both VHF band and AM/FM.

The Shakespeare 4357 S AM/FM/VHF Marine Band Separator eliminates the need for separate AM/FM antennas and allows the operation of AM/FM and marine VHF radios at the same time without interfering with VHF radio performance. This signal separator is sold complete with 10-foot RG-62 AM/FM cable, 3-foot RG-58 VHF cable, and connectors.
