Field Golden Retrievers

Anybody have any good tips on finding a Golden Retriever. I have a golden now and a lab, but since they are both getting up there I need to start the hunt for a new pup. I don't need it right now, just want to do my homework. I want a smaller female for hunting rudy's and grouse. I hunt a lot and my dogs live in the house with our family. Lab sleeps in the mudroom Golen wherever she pleases. Thanks.

Two kennels to try are Choctaw in Wisconsin and Rock Erin in Oklahoma. Both seem to produce good field stock (expect to drop some dough though). I'm getting a male from the Rugby breeding at Choctaw, I've also visited Rock Erin, I'm impressed with both.

You can find either on the net by searching by their kennel names. They're also on working retriever central, under classifieds.
