I have owned this boat since 2002. It served me well since then primarily as my personal fishing boat, but also in 2007 as my guide boat. Last year, the shift cable broke to my big engine, so I had them all replaced. The engines and trailer axles have been serviced at Nisswa Marine. Some hull "dings" have been repaired at Mills Bodyworks. Other than that, there has been little need for maintenance. I have had the boat out already several times this spring, and it is working like a champ.

The reason I am selling is that I received an offer to upgrade that I couldn't refuse...a sponsorship from Nisswa Marine and Ranger Boats. I love the ride, comfort, design and reliability of this boat. My friends and clients all loved fishing out of it last year. You will too! I never had to think twice about what boat I would want when it came time to upgrade.

This boat will be available in late May 2008. Priced to sell at $23,995.00.

I'm not sure why these pictures are taking so long to load, but if you leave the post up, the pictures will eventually come up.

If you want to email or call me directly, I will send you the pictures.

In the meantime, I'll try to get this fixed.

I'm headed up to the Rainy for about a week starting April 2nd. If you email, I'll get back to you as soon as I get back. If you'd prefer to talk to me right away, make sure and call my cell phone at 218-232-6067. Service is not the greatest up there, so I will probably get back to you in the evenings.

Update on this boat. It was sold, but is back on the market. To make a long story short, Ranger delayed shipment of my new boat, and original buyer was not willing to wait as I needed to keep my original boat for guiding purposes.

In the meantime, I started having some trouble with the engine. Upon inspection, I found that it had some serious issues, and could not sell it "as is" with a clear conscience. Engine is now being re-built with new power head at a cost of $6500.

I've done some research. There's plenty of Rangers out there, same vintage, equipped the same, for around 28K. Whoever gets this boat will have the peace of mind of knowing the 200 Optimax is in tip-top shape, and ready to roll for a long, long time, and at the same price. The boat is a beauty. The first guy to come and look at it wanted it at $24K.

Since my original posting, the engine has a new prop. Boat has a new rod locker lid, new livewell/aerator pump, new Lowrance LMS-332 up front, along with some other miscellaneous repairs.

Boat will be available in about 2 weeks at $27,995. Call on my cell at 218-232-6067 if interested.

    • Your kid needs to stay with him!👍
    • My kid was eating in Beverly Hills and ran into this guy. Talked to him a bit and wished him luck in the game tonight.
    • 🤔as a recovering machinist!🤣🤣that must make me a recovering welder!
    • As a recovering machinist, I can appreciate that.  If the spec is 0.001 - 0.0015, then clearly the correct measurement is 0.00125, duh…
    • I just figured that it is easy enough to just get a 3 bank so when the boat is not in use I can keep all 3 batteries charged. I have not bough a charger yet, maybe I will give it some more thought. Edit: After thinking this over, with the size, weight, and heat output of the charger (as well as the cost) I think it makes sense to just buy a 2 bank charger, I have a smaller charger i can use on the starting battery when the boat is sitting at home. Forgive me, for i am a retired engineer and I have to obsess over everything...
    • Congrats on the motor!  I think you’ll like it.   I can’t say much on the charger location but I’ve seen them under the lid in back compartments and under center rod lockers.  160 degrees is more than I expected to hear.   Curious why you’re opting for a 3 bank charger with a 24V trolling motor.  Unless you don’t feel you be running you big motor enough to keep that battery up as well?
    • I did buy an Minnkota Ulterra, thanks for the recommendations. I had a bunch of Cabela"s bucks saved up, which helped. Now i need to get an onboard battery charger. Where do you guys mount these things in your boat? The manufacturer I am looking at {Noco genius) says tht their 3-bank charger will run at 160 degrees, seems like a lot of heat in an enclosed compartment? Thanks for any input on this.
    • You're very lucky a troop of Sea Monkey's didn't carry you away.
    • Wasn't terrible at a state park beach. Antelope island maybe.  I wouldn't recommend it as a beach destination tho.  Figured I was there, I'm getting in it.
