Rod To Pair A 7000C3i?

What are you going to be throwing? If you got it to burn in line spinners I would think a 7 -8' rod in a MH would do the trick. I have the same reel on a 8' Thorne Brothers Diamondback and would like to be buried with the combo.

I'm buying it to burn double cowgirls. The Gander Mountain I work at has a 7'6 MH, and an 8' H. What're the differences you guys've experienced between the two? Pros/cons? Which would you guys get? Thanks for the info!

I would make sure that any rod I put that reel on has a 15" handle, it is a heavy reel and the wieght can be thrown off if the rod handle is too short. I have a Fenwick Techna that I am going to have lengthened, it makes a huge difference. I like MH rods for bucktails/DC for the whip factor. I feel like the rod is doing a lot of the work casting a lighter bait. It is more than enough rod to handle the fish, and will most likley be just a tad lighter.

On another note, Make sure the rod has a big cork handle. You spend that kind of cash on a rod and reel you want to make sure it floats if it ends up in the drink.
