tearin' lips
Here's the report just like I promised. Got up there bright and early and was fishing by 5:00 yesterday morning. Between 5:00-9:00 we had 9 follows with one quick hookup, but nothing boated. The fish that we had follow ranged from 40"-50"+. Most of them were in that low 40" range, but we had one that I guessed to be 45-48" and another 50-55". The morning fish followed a topcat, red/white Jake, and Walleye-colored suick. Nothing else was interesting to them. We played around with a few smallies during the mid-day hours. Caught most of them on tubes/X-Raps in about 8-12' of water. Tried to find the crappies around Wolf...Where do they all go!!!!???? Started fishing 'skis again about 5:00 in the evening. had four follows and one taker. I had a 42" hit on the pause of a sandcat in about 4' of water. 2 of the other three looked at a the same red/white Jake, while the last one threw a wake behind the topcat, but didn't commit. Great day on the water, we saw 13 different 'skis. 10 of the fish that we say came off the rocks, while the remaining three came from the edge of the cabbage in about 7' of water. One word of advice though guys...Wear SUNSCREEN. My legs nice coca-cola red!
