new rod opinion

ok, i had some rods stole out of the back of my pickup so now i need to replace some..what do you all think would be a better rod for cats a st. croix or a heartland rod? or is there any other type or brand i should look at..i did have a nice heartland musky rod for cats and liked it a lot but just thought i would get some input from all of you before i buy a new rod and reel...thanks

What species cat are you targeting?

Shore or boat?

mainly channels but also i do get out for flats...and i fish from both shore and boat..i will be mainly from a boat once i buy a new one(hopefully in a few weeks)
