Guest
I'm looking at the vexilar fl8-slt propack with 19 degree iceducer. It's priced at $309.99 with free shipping. Is that a fair price? What is the difference between the 19 degree and the 12 degree iceducer? some are advertised as dual beam color, are some color and some not? Thanks! rap
the 19 degree transducer has a wider cone angle so it will cover more ground beneath you. the 19 degree should be better in shallower water and the 12 will be better for deeper water... Iceboy
All Vexilar FL-8 SLT's are color - the dual beam refers to a transducer where you can switch between 9 & 19 degree cone angles. Unless you fish over 60 feet of water regularly, I would recommend just getting a 19 degree transducer (I have an FL-8 SLT w/ 19 degree 'ducer and couldn't be happier!).Check out www.vexilar.com for tons more info on transducers.
