teeth chattering

Sometimes when a dog is working a strong scent (ie: a male smelling a female in heat urine) they come up "popping" or chattering their teeth. This usually happens for a good 20-30 seconds after they are down smelling whatever it was... I've watched this for several days now with my male.

Good Luck!

Britman - good point. I would add that I am referencing a lab and that it would take below freezing temp's in the wind to start the hypotheric process. My lab would alway start chattering soon as she got in the duck blind. smile.gif

However. a brittney or a short-hair would be more exposed and require watching.

Now, if my wife would agree to dog # 4 we could have a chessy - now theres a cold water mutt for ya!
