dsludge
I'm taking my nephew and a friend out on tonka in about an hour. The trailer rides to low to get onto Black Lake. Anyone run into sunnies and crappies in numbers? Anyone tried the northwest edge on the small bay on Phelps, east of the channel and around to the left? We used to catch lots of sunnies there when I was a kid.dsludge
bigminnow
I just got back from Grays bay in Tonka and had non stop Gill action. They were qite aggressive today. That would be a good place to take the kids. Must have caught 100 plus in 2 1/2 hrs. A funny thing happended while setting the hook on what I thought was a large gill my rod broke right in two b.c it was a 24" northern, caught the fish and relesed it. dsludge
Thanks for the tip. We tried a new spot in the center of Phelps. A little slow until around 8:30 pm, caught fish non-stop for 20-30 minutes, then it was off again. Couple of 10 inchers, mostly 7, 8, & 9 though.dsludge
