I don't mine the heavier Jiffy over the lighter SM because I feel Jiffy's components are higher quality, more durable and virtually maintenance free. I pop 10" holes now and will never look back. SIDE BAR note to this topic...I was just at the GM in Woodbury and noticed they had their RR power ice auger case on clearance for $19.99...can't argue with that the regular price $39.99.
