We were down toward the south end, fishing in about 16 feet.

We fished the west end by the picnic tables on Sunday the 2nd, and only had a few bites.

Fished Lake John on Sunday 12-7. Fishing was very good early - 20+ rainbows 10-16" on assorted jig/waxworm combos. Ice was 6-7" thick. Not great fishing, but at least some fish. Didn't mark a lot of fish. If you marked a fish, you could make him hit about 75% of the time.
