Are there any fisheries professionals that are HSO members? I suspect there are. Will you be attending the conference? I am entering my last semester pursuing a degree in fisheries, I plan on attending and have a few questions. Thanks.

Yes, I will be attending. It should be a good meeting and a great place to network for potential work as well as for meeting profs for graduate school. I know there are a few more that are members here that will also be attending. Shoot me a PM and I will try and answer your questions. I will be out in the field the next couple of weeks so it might take me a little time to get back to you.

There are a few of us on here that will be there. It's a great place to connect with fisheries professionals and get answers to your questions...be sure to check out the HSOforum afs2012.org and check out the sections for student networking. Also, like wareagle, feel free to PM me for more information.

In person networking is great, but for when you go home, be sure to get a copy of "The AFS Guide to Fisheries Employment." It answers a lot of questions you may have or even questions you didn't' think to ask.
