Kayak Pike

2 days before Bass opener I got on my kayak on a new lake I've never fished before. It was SHALLOW! 4 ft was the deepest I found, I caught a bunch of pike. Nothing great but it was fun!

Man, I'm jealous you're getting in some quality yak fishing! Every time I've really wanted to be out in the lake, the conditions have just sucked. Which camera did you use to film this and did you make a homemade camera mount?

It's been real windy this spring! I don't like that. I haven't gotten out nearly as much I had hoped, but between working M-F, Softball 3 nights a week, fishing in my free time hasn't been done enough in my opinion. Good thing I broke it off with the girlfriend recently or there would be a bunch of arguments about this! I'm using the Kodak Playsport ZX3? I did mount a 3/4" PVC into a Scotty bracket. Then I put a cap on it and put a 1/4" screw through that! You can see it if you watch the video showing my kayak, it's attached to the right side of my crate! Okay cool. I use the Playsport as well, and was just curious. I saw that same type of mount on another forum I believe. Simple, yet it looks to be very effective.

It looks like tomorrow might be a good day to get the yak out, so we'll see. Right now, work looks to be slow tomorrow, so after golfing in the morning, I might just decide to take the yak out. So long as there are no white caps, I think I'll be out rowing around.
