Line Knots in Bass Times

Uh oh, looks like the popular palomar knot isn't regarded for it's strength.

The Eugene, Uni, and San Diego Jam knots surpases in strenght by a quite a margin.

Did not see the article.. but I gave up on the palomar about 4 years ago. Eugene bend for me thank you.

I reserve Palomar knot for braids, when I know that if I snag and need to break line, it will break off for me.

I'm a huge fan of the palomar knot --- have been using for over 10-years, mostly on fluoro, and have few problems with it. That said, I've heard good things about a San Diego knot when using palomar, but I have no clue how to tie it.
