crank case oil

Will too much oil on crank case casue a problem or is it something I can run for a bit until I get a chance to drain it?

Too much oil "on the crankcase"? Are you saying its a 4 stroke and you overfilled the crankcase? If so, depending on how much overfilled it is would determine how immediate the problem is. Too much oil can damage crankcase seals in a worst case scenario. To be safest, drain it to the proper level right away and avoid problems.

Ok, thats a whole different deal. Not as critical but still a good idea to drain it to the proper level. Shouldnt damage anything I can think of offhand unless it way overfull.
