Wondering if anyone has any info on fishing the bay? Any place that rents ice houses or plows a road to bring my ice castle and set up?

Lots of lakes to spear in the havre area. Ft peck is an amazing fishery for sure tho!

I haul mine laying down in the bed of my truck. I don't think you are supposed to but I have not had a problem.

Looking for some ideas on lakes to try for big pike. Preferably within and 8 hour drive from I falls. Looking for trophy pike only thru the ice and not LOTW

I'm looking at buying an RMK 600 for riding out west and ice fishing. Will this sled be alright with going slow pulling a portable once in awhile?

if your up in the area i would also recommend doing a rafting trip on the northfork of the flathead and zip lining in whitefish both are pretty fun and pretty cheap like 60-70 dollars i think. what time of year are you planning on going? -

I work just south of Glacier in Augusta MT for the Lewis & Clark National forest and frequent the park often. it is a beautiful place but it is a heavily visited park even during the week in the peak summer months, however you still should be able to see plenty of wildlife- bears sheep goats etc. if it were me i would look into some of the other national forests if you want to be by yourselves more. you will find great recreational opportunities in all the national forests with not nearly as many people. -
i have the garmin 400T with the lake master chip and i love it. it works well for both fishing and hunting it also works well out in the mountains

I haved speared 2 lakes so far up north and both have been a little darker then normal

ive had the try to make a nest in mine and made the ice very thin under my house from the current the cause by coming in and out.

I got them directly from the minnow guys selling them to the bait store had to make my own pins for them and they pretty much don't stay in the hole no matter how much weight you put on them. kinda fun to try something different every once and a while.

I like to switch it up have used anything from a painted golf ball to about a 2.5 pound sucker! smaller northerns will still come in and check it out.

I had a strikemaster a couple years ago it was nice for about the first month then just about everything went wrong recoil throttle lever wouldn't start well drive gears chipped/stripped out. went and bought a jiffy and love it...then i won one in a raffle so i have two love them both 8" and 10"
