  1. I have size 13 Muck Arctic Pro Extremes and I wasn't sure if my size Large Kahtoola's would fit, but they do just fine.
  2. Very happy Kahtoola owner also!
  3. I just want to see lots of alley oops from rubio to williams!
  4. I believe those are the old colors - brown and green. That's why they are on clearance at red rock.
  5. I just bought one earlier this spring and was a bit confused as well. When you first hook it up, regardless if it's brand new or seasoned, there is no LP in the hose or heater itself. Therefore, you need to turn the knob to light and hold it down for like 30 seconds to a minute to allow the LP to fill the system. Then push the ignitor. Once it lights, depress the knob, and you're good to go.

    costom rods

Are you saying Thorne Bros is a box store? There was one other booth, across from Korky's, by the seminar stage, that had custom rods.
  7. I bought a Northwoods fillet knife over the weekend from the booth with the seasoning and dip. It's a Leech Lake copy. Just need to catch some fish so I can try it...
  8. They could still expand it into the auditorium upstairs as well because if it's held in the Metrodome, it can't be called the annual St. Paul Ice Fishing Show.
  9. There were hand written tags at Marine General on Friday night when I bought a pair of bibs there. This morning, there were fewer sizes for FXE bibs/jackets. However, the same Frabill rep working there (as Friday) confirmed that the price was still the same, and he would walk me over to the Frabill booth to pick it up if they didn't have one there at Marine General. After trying on an XL again, I still didn't like the short fit and the extra long sleeves.
  10. Good thing there weren't any Power Noodles for sale or else I would have bought one.
  11. The Frabill FXE SnoSuit jackets are short (snowmobile-style, according to a Frabill rep I talked with). That's why I didn't buy one and only picked up the bibs. Either are only $179 at Marine General.
  12. I sold 3 ice fishing items (auger, flip over, and vex) on Craiglist over the last couple of weeks and all were very smooth transactions. Have purchased many things from listings there also. Craiglist is an excellent way for buyers and sellers to find each other. I'd say it's not the norm for stolen ice fishing gear to end up there - at least not pre-ice season like now. Maybe once shantys are out, it could change a little, but I would still consider it a small to minimal percentage. Buyers and sellers need to use common sense, but if one is too worried about stolen items or things they read or hear about, they should cough up the money and buy brand new.
  13. Paid $40 for my 5 lber from FF last March.
  14. I have a Kershaw folding fillet knife Got it from Amazon for $18. Super sharp, but a bit too stiff for my liking.

    Big Buddy Heater

I used mine 3 times last year and never had it on full blast for very long at all. Most of the time, it was on the low setting.

    Big Buddy Heater

That's what I paid at FF late winter this year.
  17. Did not have to wait for the ice show. Scored a grey Frabill Icesuit from Reed's black friday sale online for $200 + 14 shipping (reg. price is $299).
  18. Reeds has the grey Frabill Icesuit for $199 + shipping (reg price is $299) for their Black Friday sale. It's live online now. Bought myself a set!
  19. I drank the kool aid and found my new pair of Muck Arctic Pro Extreme's sitting at my door step earlier. Cost me $120, but my feet's comfort is worth it. Initial thoughts are that they are very cushioned under my feet and a little snug at the calves, since they are a very high. Will give them a test run open water fishing this weekend. I'm not skilled enough to launch my boat without standing in the water, so I'll check for waterproof immediately.
  20. Put it on gregs list for what you think its worth. The amount of emails, or lack of them, will tell you if you are priced right or not.
  21. This thread is great and makes me hungry... Thanks for sharing guys!
  22. No one mentioned it, but I've found chicken to be the cheapest at Restaurant Depot by the State Fair. We eat a lot of wings and used to buy them at Sams or Super Walmart for $1.80-$2.00/lb. It's way more expensive at Cub and Rainbow. RD had 40 lb cases at $0.99/lb. all summer (small or jumbo). The price went up to $1.18 a couple weeks ago. They sell cases of other chicken as well. When I have big parties, I'll pick up a roll of NY strip there, too. Those are at $5.70/lb now for select. They have higher cuts as well for more money and better pricing by the case. Thy sell chuck rolls, too, and I want to say they're in the low $2ish/lb. I'll double check next time I go there. BTW, RD is for businesses only. Just need to have some type of license to get a FREE membership. Does NOT have to be a restaurant license. My dad has a medical license and that's what I used.
