  1. I had the Ipilot out today as well on the terrova. I couldn't stop giggling like a school girl. The anchor function is top notch in my book. The cruse control function is good. the route tracking is great. you can start in the middle of your saved trail as well as 3 routes saved at the same time. Also I got an us2 cable for a vex for sale if you want it.
  2. I have had my hands on both and currently have a Tour. The storm in my opinion if you want the touch screen and your already used to it, then that is the phone for you. If not, it will take ton of time to get used to specially the keyboard. If your a "fat finger" type person, that phone is not for you the keyboard when in layout mode gets a little tricky if you want to type fast. I currently have a tour (upgraded from a (8830) and like it a ton so far. Battery life isn't the best but do surf the web on it quite a bit and get about 60+ emails a day. My only con for both phones is the profiles that you cannot modify, you have to setup new ones yourself, or else you will get alerts every 2 mins in my case. They also have different plugs for the chargers now, not the mini usb like the ones before so keep that in mind.
  3. Coach, 1 and 1 is good. Just about as good as it gets. There are tons of free development tools out there if you want to keep it cheap for free. Also there are some free web site template or if you way to pay some money, complete web sites already made that you purchase and just change text. One thing to note for these, is they require you to have like GoLive and/or Flash and/or Photoshop to make these said changes on templates.
  4. Not too sure. If you want you can use my boat to test it out on. Let me know today or tomorrow.
  5. it is a single axle. The outside and inside edges are wearing differently then the middle tread. what if the axle is rated for 3600 lbs, would then a stronger set of tires be in order?
  6. Both my tires are wearing a little differently that what I have seen before. The inside tread looks fine but the outside tread is wearing faster and lower on the side that hits the ground first and higher on the other side. Is this because their low on air or is the boat to heavy for the tires I have on there? Also checked the pressure of the tires and they are to spec of the tire.
  7. You can create custom maps.....from only the maps they give you with the software. For example, I took off most of the stuff like airports and other items that I don't want to show up on my GPS. You can create your own waypoints on the software then load them on to your card to put them in your GPS. On my card I have the dakotas south to texas and MI to the gulf. Has all the roads that I traveled on so far. Really just got it for that. 5 car limit. I am useing a 2GB card also. I think you could get half of the US on one card if you took off some detail. It also gives you contact info for placed like restraunts, gas stations, etc.
  8. I was told that the older fish traps use a different style of hyfax runners? Any truth to this? Or will the new ones work just fine.
  9. Also, if your water line freezes overnight. Just startup your motor for 15-20 secs and then shut it off. This should warm the block enough to melt whatever is in there. Repeat if necessary if the first time doesn't work. Had to do this while duck hunting. would start the motor ever hour or so to keep the pump working.
  10. Well low and behold, I took the top cover off and there is a US2 extension that was spliced in there. Found that to be a little lose, unhooked that and replugged it back in firmly. Put everything back together and plugged everything back in for the 100th time and it works. For some odd reason, I new it was way to easy to install the motor and hook everything up.
  11. I did some more checking last night with the feedback that I was getting when I power on the tolling motor. I made sure that the vex and the motor do not share the same groud. Did this by unhooking everything from the starting battery and just plugged in the vex. So their not sharing the same ground from what I can see. The only thing I can figure out is that these wires share the same path to the back as the trolling motor wires. The only other option I got now is to try a Ferrite Choke. But that wouldn't solve bottom reading issue would it?
  12. Yes sir. FYI, previous motor didn't have US. It is impossible to mix up US and US2 plugs. The plugs are totally different as the us2 plug is smaller. Trust me as I got the wrong one to being with, then as soon as I walked about 10 feet, I looked again and got the right one. For the feedback, Used my vex battery and I get no feed back whatsoever but as soon as I hook it back into my wiring I get feed back. FYI, I have a feed that goes directly to my starting battery from the vex, it is not spliced into anything. Question, should I be hearing a little tick from the ducer on the MK? kinda like the tick that you hear from the ice ducer puck?
  13. So after the past week, I finally got my 24volt system wired up with a 3 bank charger. Installed my Terrova with US2 and hooked up to my Vex FL8. I previously had a PD55 with the transducer that was mounted on at the bottom which it worked fine with that setup. So I take it out tonight, and the first thing I notice that it is not reading the bottom at all. Thought it was odd, selected all the depths and adjusted the gain.....nothing. Turned on the trolling motor and I get a lot of feedback on the screen with the gain turned all the way down. Had this same issue with my previous tolling motor too but was able to adjust the gain to eliminate it. Hit the IR button a couple of times to see if that would help and got nothing. Unplugged everything and plugged it back in just to make sure and it still happens. Did a search here and found this post (below), but what worries me the most is not seeing bottom at all. Did a test tonight when I got home and hooked up the puck and that works fine. Any suggestions? http://www.fishingminnesota.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/ubb/showflat/Number/1488749/Searchpage/1/Main/177890/Words/%22Universal+Sonar%22/Search/true/Re_Using_Vexilar_in_Open_Water#Post1488749
  14. I been told by a couple people that if the batteries is not the same(type) it causes extra strain on the whole system. But I just don't believe it. So the 2 batteris I have are a trojan SCS200 and a Cabelas series27. Can I run them together or am I getting another matching deep cycle?
  15. Was watching in-fisherman on Sunday, they were plugging some new Shamano openface that was designed to help prevent line twist and line not spooling right. I cannot remember or find the one (case they all look the same to me). Anyone know which one I am talking about?
  16. Looking to purchase a frame this spring for a summer project, found some frame adn also thinking about having a welder make me one. My question is, how wide can I go and still have it road legal? Is it 8ft?
  17. Anyone know where I can find a car adapter locally? Cabin fever, no, gander, no, I have yet to call mtka outdoors but I don't think they have it either. Don't want to run all the way up to cabelas unless I have too.
  18. I installed the fulton one about 2 years ago. It has worked fine on the trailer. However, if you are going to do it on a bigger boat then I did, I would suggest to go to a custom shop. My trailer was also a shorlander and IMO I didn't like their swing tounge when I saw it. With my new boat and trailer, the swing tounge is alot beafier then fulton.
  19. 8!!!! U got room for 2 more? Call me at work tomorrow and I can fill you in where I am going this weekend. I know trappers on Leech looks nice and has I think has most of what your looking for. Maybe some places on Gull Lake might have everything your looking for too. Not too sure about the Alex area anymore.
  20. Other then radico and waldock, is there anyone else in the metro that has truck acc instock? My buddy told me that fleet farm had some stuff but it's been so long since I been there that I cannot remember. I HAD to purchase a different truck yesterday, just looking for some grill inserts before the weekend.
  21. BD, On your work computer, there are 2 things that might be causing your issues. If I remember right in 98. Find the location that your IE stores it's temp files. Delete all of them from Windows Explorer or if you just open your C drive but DON'T do it from IE. Second thing, (if I also remember right) you can also uninstall IE and reinstall it by gong to add remove programs and select windows components. Not too sure on your home PC, it could be that some IE security settings but it also could be be the graphics that it's trying to display too. I take it, it worked before right?
  22. I would call Minnetonka Outdoors and see. Not too sure if they fix rods but it's worth a try.
  23. I think as long as it's 12volts I don't see a big issue. The problem that I have with mine is that my acc. Where the plug doesn't keep a good connection or the power dips a little were it will shut off. Just havn't had time to figure out that issue yet.
  24. Well my thinking was/is to run the vex to my multi purpose battery (same as my starting battery).…....not going to splice into the tolling motor due to the fact that next year going to upgrade to a 24volt. I'm going to have 2 multi purpose batteries on board with the 24volt trolling motor setup. Going to be changing my onboard charger to a 3 bank with 4 batteries (1 starting battery as a backup not connected). I don't think the vex draws enough power to totally drain that multipurpose battery but that is what the backup is for…..that just incase scenario. So time will tell on that decision I guess. I'll try the 2-3amp fuse, don't know why I picked 9 I guess. Thanks for the info.
  25. I take that is for interference? Not going to be the transducer cable, just the power cables which I wouldn't think would be an issue......or is it? With my cable run the power for the tolling motor and bow lights are in that same run. Which also passes under the antenna,(not really close or touching). I these cables are going to be a direct run to the batter so no splicing.
