Duffman, did you do your trip yet? If so how did you do? I spent last weekend at the Scout canoe base camp on Moose lake east of Ely. No time on the water but a great weekend anyway. -
Wondering how tough it is to mount a plow on my mule, it is a 2007 model 600. Would I raise and lower it with a winch or other method? Thanks.

I snapped off both screw heads that hold the rear license plate. The remaining portion of the screws are very rusted. Any thought how I can get these screws out so I can get my license plate back on the car? -

Stay in Isle at McQouid's Inn, from the lot you can ride the South Soo Line, Red Top, and Solana Loop trails. The Inn is very ATV frindly. Public water access right next door to go out and fish Mille Lacs Lake.

We have about 5-6 inches of snow in the Grand Rapids area, some clubs are packing, those trails have a lot of grass showing. Still need 6-8 inches to have groomable snow. With the freezing rain and wet snow the other weekend, lots of trails need to be recleared again, lots of trees and brush in the trail.

Looks like a great trip, so how was the fishing? Any trips planned for those legless salamanders up north? I have not been in to the lakes for way too long. -
Hey Duff, how goes life, things are good here. Been spending any time up north? Have you chased the legless salamanders much this year? It has been a while since I have been into the lake, my youngest son and a friend have been getting some bows in the lake just to the east this year. I hope to get out a bit more this year and catch some fish thru the ice. Good luck fishing.

Bough picking is a great way to make some extra money for the season, tho I am getting tired of what some do to access the boughs. I help maintain one of the local snowmobile trails. In the past, boughers have climbed the tree and tipped it over to get boughs, now I find they are cutting the trees down to get more. If done correctly it is a renewable resource, but not when they cut the trees down!

How are snowmobile trails in Longville/Walker?Grand Rapids area?

Kdawg The trails are in poor to fair shape in the Grand Rapids area, we need snow to get a good base. There is only about 7-9 inches on the ground and about 1-2 inches of base.
