  1. Love the seasonal as well. I have a lot in Pathfinder Village between Hinkley and Danbury. I own the lot. Lots of fun things to do. Association fee is $680 year. Pool, golf course, drive in movies, roller skating, etc. Great time. Get there open the door and you are ready to go. Plus we can use year round as there is year round shower houses.
  2. I have had a 1988 Kawasaki Bayou 2 wheel drive, 1994 Kawasaki Bayou 4X4, 1999 Kawasaki 400 4X4 Prairie, and prior to that 2 hondas. The kawasaki's have been great. The 2X4 with chains and a bag of sand and that thing went most places I have needed to go. You would not e disappointed with the 99' 4X4. My kawasaki's have been a little cold blooded meaing they need to warm up before you go, but they have never failed me. I have put many miles on them. The 1998 probably had 7000 + miles and still ran perfect. Chains make a big difference. If you cannot afford a 4X4 you must have chains to go in the deeper snow.
  3. Neangler, I would be willing to buy it for $120. Not sure how many updates they made to the software in the past 2 years but I am not sure how much I would use the mapping software. Email me at jim at jimandjoanna.com Jim
  4. NEANGLER, I am not familiar how they work. Do they have lake details already in them or do I have to buy map chips? If so how much are the chips? THanks Jim
  5. Proctor Speedway opened 3 weeks ago with 129 cars on hand! Racing was good and the crowd was pretty big. I enjoy the races every Sunday night. Cedar Lake is great if you can get there as it is a far drive for me. I enjoy Rice Lake, Hibbing, Superior. I like them all. But since I got married I only go on Sundays and some midweek specials.
  6. Bassphish2005, what section are you in? We are in E3. Look forward to opening it up in April. then come May 1st we are there. Can't wait.
  7. I second the Pathfinder Village place. I bought a place there over 2 years ago. There is so much to do your kids will never want to go home. Pool, tennis courts, drive in movies on fri and sat, roller skating on fri, basketball courts, etc. Always stuff to do.
  8. It is still for sale. Sorry I have not been logged in. Living in temp housing while house is being built. I won't have access to picts for 2-3 weeks. I will try to get some new picts of it this week. my phone # is 218-348-1462 thanks Jim
  9. I did not see the article as I live in Duluth. I am sure I can guess what the article says. My respone would be that as an ATV'r I have paid a license fee since 1988, the same fee I believe as snowmobilers do. But yet have far less trails to ride on. There are over 210,000 atv's registered in Mn, which out numbers snowmobiles and yet we have a little more than 100 miles of designated ATV trails here in MN. Back in the 70's and 80's we had a similar problem with Snowmobilers. What did we do? We charged them a registration fee, then created a trail system and then we regulate the trail system (enforce them). The problem for the most part has gone away. We have thousands of miles of trial for them but ATV's have less than 200. WIS Department of Tourism did a studytt and found that ATV'rs contribute $296 million dollars to the economy. Wisconsin has 4000 miles of ATV trails for the winter and 1500 miles for the summer. But yet in Mn we have less than 200 miles. MN has more paved bike trails than that and they don't even have to pay a fee to use their trails... SO again not knowing the article, we have over 210,000 ATV's and less than 200 miles of designated trails... And yes even with a trail system we will have bad apples that will do damage the trails are surrounding areas, but if we have a large trail system with enforcement I would guess that we would have less problems just as we have seen with snowmobilers. I have contacted elected officials and attended as many ATV meetings as possible to gain trails. ATV'rs need to organize on a scale that we have not seen yet to be able to fight for our trails. I agree stiffer penalties would help. Most of us would not risk a large fine or seizure of our ATV.
  10. Mr. Twister, I agree with the last post that said if you brought her in for something that was wrong then I would continue the tests. If it was a routine chek-up and you have seen no signs of fatigue, hard breathing etc, then go hunting. I did have a dog that was my fishing buddy, four wheeler passenger, etc. Had to take her to the vet because she would pass out. After $2000 + dollars found out she a heart problem and a severe heart murmur (they rate them on a scale) that would require a $3500 surgery that she may or may not survive... Said she would probably not make it to 5. Decided not to have the surgery. Had 7 great years and then about 6 months that were not great, as we had weekly visits to the vet for medications, and to drain the fluid in her abdomen that was leaking there due to heart/murmur problem. Keep in mind this was a sick dog. Most dogs with murmurs live happy healthy lives (as do people that have the same issue). I still miss my dog and when I look at the vet bills I had the last 6 months, it was worth it and I would do it again. The vet had many tests we could run but if the problem that was suspected was wrong we could not doing anything about it anyway. I would only do the tests that could have a result that we treatable, otherwise I did not want to know...as there was nothing we could do. Now I am rambling as cabin season is here and my dog is not.
  11. Price reduce to $9250. Construction on my house starts in 3 weeks.... This is compfortable boat. Check the link above to see manufacturers sight. I would buy another Misty Harbor boat as I enjoyed this one. Thanks Jim
  12. I had a custom mattress made a few years ago at Happy Sleeper in Duluth. Made me a foam bed in a custom shape at an extremely reasonable rate. Was a very comfortabe bed. Litte Bones
  13. Will Take Good offers. Boat has not been used a lot. To replace this boat you would have close to $20K into it. Little_Bones
  14. I have a 2001 Misty Harbor Fishing Boat for sale. I bought it new in 2003. It has a Trinity Roller Trailer with Diamond Plate Walkways on the rear. Nice wheels. Only towed a few times. I bought it with a used motor that never worked right. After wifes urging bought a new Mercury 4 Stroke 75 HP. Pushes the 16.5 foot boat nicely. Power Tilt/Trim, 4' livewell, 7' Rod Locker, AM/FM/CD Player/3 seats/2 are movable/front storage/24 Volt Minnkota Foot Operated trolling motor/On board dual charger/bilge pump/storage under drivers seat/speedometer. I believe I have 2 six gallon tanks although I took one out of the boat because the 4 stroke gets 16-19 mpg. Cruises at 44MPH with 2 adults in it. Stored inside in the winter and covered in the summer. Does include a cover. Cover has small rip due to last storm. I have another cover new in the box. I used the boat once this year, once last year and limited time the other 3 years I have had the boat. Transom saver and hydrofoil included. Bought the boat because it was deeper than an Alumacraft and less expensive than a Lund. $9,500. Will email pics. I live in Duluth and am at cabin between Hinkley and Danbury on Weekends. Need a new house so boat must go.
  15. Hello. I have owned a 1988 Kawasaki Baayou 300 2 wheel drive. Just sold it las year. Used to keep track of my miles with the gps. Many years ago I was past 5000 miles. Still looked and ran great. No repairs. Just changed oil and spark plugs. Had it tuned up once in 98'. Bought a 1994 Bayou 4X4 and same thing. Still have that machine and it works great. I sold the 88' and bought a Prairie 400. I am having great luck with that as well. I would only buy Kawasaki's because of the luck I have had with them. Hope you enjoy it.
  16. Had the same problem in 2 of my Kawi. For a while I could tighten the carb drain, eventually had to get a new screw with the o-ring. Didn;;t cost mush. Cousin is having the same proble with a yama. He just shuts off the gas as he won't see to invest the couple bucks to get new screw..
