  1. The bigger problem is most of these are small AM stations and in the evening they cut power and the signal goes down hill. At least CCO you could pick them up in the outstate.
  2. The chirping may be a feature that you accidentally turned on by holding 2 keys down at the same time. It happened to a guy at work. He called Minkota and they knew right away what it was. They must get a lot of calls on it. It may also be in the manual.
  3. It could be the button contacts on your remote. If I remember right the rubber membrane will come off when you split the unit and you can clean the contacts on the circuit board and rubber membrane. The contacts on the rubber are usually the black knobs on the membrane. Use alcohol or just water on a lint free rag. I end up doing mine at least once a year when they become less sensative.
  4. Slimngrizzly On any vehicle it all depends on how they are driven and cared for. I had a 2000 F150 5.4 L with 175K that I recently traded on a 2007. I really debated getting rid of it because it was reliable and in great shape. I didn’t have any of the problems others list. The only repair issue I had was the ABS pump (not sure if that is what it is called) at one time. Realistic millage 15-17 with 17 -1 8 at best during good conditions. But I used it for normal driving not a lot of towing or loads.
  5. What I do is put sink water (not soft water) in a bucket for a day. The Chlorine will evaporate out and then you can use it for your minnows. As long as you keep them cool I never have a problem.
  6. I am starting to think about buying a new GPS or GPS/depth finder combo. Was thinking of a Lowrance H20c with lakemaster chip or a Lowrance GPS/Depthfinder with Chip. I was interested to hear from users pros or Cons of either and model comparisons of the combo units.
  7. I'll see if I can find it one of these nights and get some pic's to post.
  8. I made a fitting that screws in and have a hose attached. If you tip the motor up then remove the plug oil will not run out. Then attach the fitting and lower the motor. My problem is the oil that drains from the oil filter into the bottom of the cowling. I stuff a rag below the filter area and that helps but you still get oil that seeps down.
  9. I have a 2005 115 Yamaha. When I change my oil after it drains I tip the motor up for a little while then tip it back down vertical. You will get more oil out after it has been tipped up. Usually not as much as your indicating though. Maybe 1/4 qt. Did you have the motor plumb vertical when draining?
  10. I have had one the past year and love it. I have a bow mount and the co pilot is more sensative and easier to adjust speed and direction than a foot control. I wear mine on my right wrist with the control on the inside of my wrist and can keep my left hand there to adj often in the wind while holding my rod with my right hand. Also you can get up and walk around while still fishing.
