Mcfin
I am renovating a 14 ft. fiberglass boat to use for fishing and duck hunting. Need a camo waterproof paint. Do I buy a marine paint or can I just get an oil-based paint from fleet?
Gordie
Fleet sells some good duck boat paint in quarts and I have painted a few boats with no problems other than normal wear Mcfin.Good Luck
redneckdan
Use an alkyd enamel and cut it 8:1:1 paint: reducer:hardener. Xylol works good for the reducer. The Valspar 4625 hardener helps the paint kick faster and makes for a tougher finish. Use a roller to apply then tip it with a foam brush to kill any bubbles, then leave it alone so it can level out. Google 'roll and tip boat paint' and watch some of the YouTube videos. The results of your paint job will impress you.
