  1. The Cormorant Fall Classic is scheduled for September 23rd & 24th. Entry fee is $250 w/ 80% payback to 25% of the field. For an entry you can email me at chad.maloy@gatecitybank.com. They are also available at the Moorhead & Fargo Scheels, Gander Mtn and Sportsman Warehouse.
  2. I had a 32" walleye done by Artistic Anglers in Duluth. He charges $11/inch for replica's. One suggestion I have is ask them to cut notches into the fins so that they are a little more realistic.
  3. Zernov is the President. He perfected the camera. He, Lindners and Capra's were all involved in the business. Here is a short story.http://www.outdoorsweekly.com/mn_naturevision.html
  4. Certified Volunteer Fishing Instructor President, FM Walleyes Unlimited Inc Fill in Sunday School Teacher
  5. I purchased a few of the Mitchell Gold Avocet's this year. Nice little reel for around $30. 8 bb's
  6. Buy some bulk doublesided velcro in a role. Use this to secure it to the poles and remove the rope when done fishing and store in a coil. I use velcro for hanging rods, and other stuff from my poles.
  7. I have a 3hp 10" Lazer. I can out cut my buddies 3/2 who have jiffy or regular strikemasters(w/o Lazer blades). I second the comments on only getting a 2hp. Got mine as a gift and I would have purchased an 8 or 9" 2hp Lazer is buying today. Make sure to get one with the new point which keeps it from sliding around.
  8. Great question....Please ask the DNR and let us know. My assumption is that when the fish is mounted it is skinned. I would guess that a skin mount would not count towards your posession limit. However, if you have 6 in your freezer you are in violation. You would have to catch 3 and have them mounted and then catch 3 more.
  9. Glad you made it. Chip did a great job and is very fun to listen to. Hopefully we will see you in January when Tommy Skarlis will be there. Make sure to grab me. It gets kind of busy before and after the meeting as everyone likes to gab.
  10. I would recommend you get an 8" 2hp auger. I have a Strikemaster Lazer 3000XL 10". I can out drill all my buddies that have other brands at a rate of 3 to 2. It was a gift and if I were to buy one I would get a 2hp rather than the 3hp and probably the 8" rather than the 10". Lazer blades shear the ice when other blades chip it. Just saw the new Lazer 224 and it is pretty cool. The four blades allow you to do a lot of different things such as drilling at angles and drilling holes on top of each other without slipping.
  11. Chip Leer will be the Guest Speaker at the Thursday, November 18th meeting of FM Walleyes Unlimited Inc. The meeting will be held at the Doublewood Inn in Fargo, ND and will start at 7:00pm. Admission is free and open to all (members and non-members). As always new member applications are always welcome. Chad Maloy President, FM Walleyes
