  1. Buddies were up for the afternoon and the bite was pretty slow where they were fishing.
  2. The ice is still plenty thick. But by the end of march the ice is degrading and travel will depend on the weather.
  3. holy incompitence... drive around the lake and you wont miss the trees, they are everywhere. does someone need to show you how to bait your hook too?
  4. hope you guys have tickets, i just got one from a friend that is going to LOTW, so now you really got some real competition. see you out there boyz. [Note from admin: Please read forum policy before posting again. Thank you.]
  5. tourney will be held on six mile bay. take highway 19 west out of devils lake. you can access the lake through the public boat ramp at six mile campground, or access the lake near woodland and then drive on the ice over there. there will be tons of people out there, so be cautious.
  6. I wish I coulda been out there today. i think the weather was perfect foe an all day bite. headed out tomorrow and will let you know how it was.
  7. whats up? I fish devils lake about twice a week. you can access the lake from just about anywhere. there is minimal snow on the lake at the moment. 4x4 pickup will get you wherever you want to go, no need for sleds or 4 wheelers, but the sleds could be fun if the fish are not biting. we are forcasted to get some snow this week so conditions may change. i will definately be out sometime this week so i can give you an updated report soon.
  8. it is possible to find a road with trees on both sides. if you dont want to lose much tackle check the holes with your cam, vex, marcum, or lowrance. if you get a tree in your hole just move over a LITTLE bit. the camera can tell you exactly what type of bottom you are fishing.
  9. I live in Grand Forks and bowhunt in Northwood, neither of the 2 places have much snow. Lots of melted snow the has refroze into a hard and crunchy top layer. We did get a little blowing snow, but not much at all, and we are under winter weather advisory now. Havent seen many yotes out lately, saw 1 about 2 weeks and thats been it since early bow season
  10. So where were the hot areas of the lake, hopefully this new weather pattern does "not" disturb the fishing all too much.
