  3. Dan, I looked at that and there is a ton of different lakes. I was hoping someone could point me to a decent duck lake with enough cover for my boat.
  4. Hi Guys, I am a southern MN Duck hunter and I have a customer that is coming up from Ohio and staying in Brainerd for the week of Oct. 20th. He wants me to take him Duck Hunting for a couple days but I have never hunted up there and don't know any good lakes to hunt on. If you guys could help me out I would appreciate it. I have a bigger duck boat with a surface drive mud motor so I can usually get anywhere I need too. I really appreciate any help!
  5. I decided to sell my Eskimo Quick Flip 3 portable fish house. It hasn't been used since 2010 but is in great shape. Sled is in great condition with no cracks in the plastic. The fabric does not have any tears but the vinyl windows are cracked. I believe I have replacements for these somewhere in my garage. It is a little dirty do to sitting in the shed for several years. Located in Owatonna $200 obo. Listed on multiple sites.
  6. I have a 29hp surface drive mud buddy on a 1448 war eagle. It does about 26mph loaded with 2 guys dog and dekes. The surface drive is an overall faster motor. It has a better hole shot and gets you out on plain faster than a long tail due to the angle of the drive. The only advantage a long tail has is when the boat is grounded. The long tail will have that extra long reach to get to water to push the boat out. My boat is a short transom that used to have a 25 hp outboard. I didn't need to add pods because the draft wasn't low enough to need them.
  7. I am thinking about selling my 99 Johnson 25 horse 2 stroke short shaft. It is a manual start(rope) and in great condition. I only used it on my john boat for duck hunting and maybe has a 100 hours on it. Where can I find a sale value? I have googled it and the only prices I can find are new list prices and a low end price for motors that are in non working condition. Any help would be appreciated.
  8. Jeepguy, Looks like Union Bay near Ellsworth ME. Where were you guys hunting? We have a place there but I've never hunted out there yet. I keep telling my wife that I am going to schedule a trip during hunting season but have yet to do it.
  9. How did you get a license for duck? Aren't they all a lottery still out there?
  10. Benelli M2 for me. I had a Benelli M1 for 11 years and it jammed on me only once.(probably because it fell out of the boat and when I jumped out to get it, I landed on it and pushed it down into the mud.) Absolutely the best shotgun I could ever shoot. I've had Remington autos and a mossberg auto and neither can compare. I bought a Browning Gold 3 1/2" 12ga. about 5 years ago for geese. It shoots well but if it goes uncleaned it is basically a single shot when shooting 3 1/2" shells. My benelli gets cleaned once a year at the end of the season. Thats all it ever need.s
  11. The new rubber ones do work. I'm not sure how well because they haven't been available that long. Guys are using them when in-floor heat tubing is placed to close to the closet flange. THe high heat from the tubing melts the traditional wax seal and makes the toilet leak.
  12. Finished!! Moved in the begining of Feb. Radiant Heat in all floors. Very warm and extremely quiet. $220 utility bill in Feb and $234 in March. Triangle Tube 120,000 BTU boiler that runs all radiant heat and potable water.
