  1. Heading up to the quetico area in a week, plan on targeting walleyes, northern and some Bass. Are Nortern still in shallows? Are Bass still on beds? How is the walleye bite? Thanks and I can't wait to get up there!!
  2. Check tire pressure and air filter as well.
  3. If they maintained it, they didn't do a very good job!! How do they not discover something like that, did you tell them about it?
  4. If you do common maintaince on a polaris this should not happen. I am assuming your never checked the four wheel drive hub oil level?
  5. Thanks! I will check that out, I know that I don't have those with the bag of goodies but I will call them today. I appreciate your help.
  6. That is a good idea, I think I will try the nylon washer. Thanks.
  7. Just bought myself a 2012 Polaris Ranger 800 Camo. I love the machine, great power, rides like a caddilac. Only issue I have is where the shoulder strap for the seat belt connects to the frame sure makes a lot of screaching noise when moving. I think some oil will take care of the issue but it seems like a goofy set up. Anyone else experience this? Thanks
  8. With that low of miles, if its in good shape, you will get your 1500 back. Next fall you could get 2500-2900 if its in good shape. Just my guess.
  9. I guessing something is loose and you are sucking water in somewhere. I would check all hoses and connections.
  10. I personally have had a 1998 polaris 425 magnum, never a problem with it. Had a 2008 polaris sportsman 500 EFI, amazing machine, rode like a cadilac, sold that to buy a Ranger. I miss the sportsman but needed the Ranger for pratical reasons, easier to give rides to my kids. I don't think I will have anything else but a Ranger from now on. I have always owned polaris, just because they have always treated me so well, do the general maintaince on them and they shouldn't give you any trouble. I have buddies with Honda's, they love those too, but seems they have a few more issues such as carb problems, stuff breaking. Also, nothing rides as smooth as a polaris, try riding all brands, and see for yourself. Once you own a polaris, I bet you never buy anything but a polaris. Good luck,
  11. I have jacked up the front end, there is no play in the tires. When I lift the hood up so I get access to the steering arm, the arm seems to be loose, the joint that is up close to the actual steering wheel. I might just bring it in and have a dealer take a look. Thanks.
  12. Hi Guys, I have a 2007 Polaris Ranger 500 EFI that I have owned for a year. I have about 330 hrs on it. I love the machine but I am starting to get a little play in the steering wheel, I know a little play is normal, but this seems to be more then "normal" it seems like something is loose underneath in the linkage. Does anyone have any experience in this. I tighten a bolt that was loose (was a Bit** to get at) underneath in the linkage and that helped a bit, but after a while it seemed to be back to where it was. Any help or recommendations would be great! Also, how many Grease Zerks are on this machine. I can only find one, on a drive shaft in the front. I am guessing there is more, but I have pulled the tires off, pulled the plastic off the bottom and can only find 1.
