  1. Given I mostly fish LOW, when it comes to minnows we fish almost exclusively with frozen shiners for walleye, some exceptions being in fall and spring.
  2. Centerville/ Lino Lakes area had a LOT of rain, no hail though, winds peaking in the 80s I believe. Not sure on damage yet, none that I can see form my house. Hopefully not enough to have our roof redone for what might be the 3rd year in a row.
  3. In my opinion Yamaha would be your best choice for all around performance and dependability.
  4. I think I will back it with some 30 lb berkley big game like you guys say. It is my sturgeon rod, but its so heavy duty they still dont gain too much ground.
  5. I have a rod spooled with 65 lb power pro i have lost quite a bit but dont want to waste whats on the reel and re-spool. What is the best knot to tie power pro to power pro of the same size or is that a bad idea?
  6. It really sucks that people have to do things like that. Expessially to hard working people like that
  7. Ive eaten tons of those and I'm fine. At least I think.
  8. Insanely accurate, very fun to shoot. I personally use 40 gr hornadys but im considering starting to load my own.
  9. Alright, thanks for the help, I already made sure I had the right top and I think these guides will be a pretty good size for it as far as looks.
  10. Alright, I found a .75ish one, so I shouldn't have to file much. Now the only bad thing is I will have to return my old handle kit, because I decided not to pay attention to the size haha. One more question though, will regular size guides like you would use on a medium graphite rod work, or will i have to get bigger ones because of the size of the blank?
  11. Ok, so I ended up getting a gator glass blank, and it is huge! I cant seem to find cork that has a .819 inner diameter, does anyone know where i can get grips to fit a blank that big?
  12. No, haha. I like to have a weight that if I keep letting line out the current will keep pulling it down river. I feel like its more sensitive. But back when we were walleye fishing a couple weeks ago, we were using 3/8ths.
  13. Were you guys just using plain hooks? We have always done good with these big spinners we made, but had a heck of a time getting any on them this weekend, we tried shiners, worms, and combos of both.
