  1. I bought a ICE 55 and love it. The large screen and digital display is great! Battery life was great. I fished for 5 hours and still had 80% charge. It picks up your lure well in deep water. It sounded like some people had trouble in shallower water but I haven't fished real shallow with it. The multiple color pallets are great and adjustable zoom is sweet! I was real nervous paying the $$ for this but I haven't been disappointed yet!
  2. Thanks for the input. I will do my shopping and find the best deal. The 7200c has always caught my eye. Does anyone own one or ever used one??
  3. I have read a lot of posts on GPS units and I still don't know what to invest in. I am looking to spend up to $1000 and want to get something versatile and reliable. The sonar is not real important as I have 2 sonar units already. Which is better? Internal or external antenna? Any information, ideas or suggestions you all have would be greatly appreciated. Everyone has a different opinion and it is worthwhile.

I also had a chance to meet Denny Brauer and I actually went fishing for a whole day with him on Minnetonka. It was a sweepstakes deal I won several years ago. I tell ya - he is a great guy and wasn't afraid to show me his hot spots and hot lures. He swore up and down by the jig and gave me several pointers. He said over half of his hits happen on the initial fall of the jig after hitting the water. He wasn't kidding either, if you throw it enough you will learn to be ready as soon as the jig hits the water. A lot of good info covered above and I agree. I've noticed some lakes have real good jig bites and other lakes may not, even though the bass are there.
  5. Well, not the typical Washington as years past but we did manage to give some fresh air to several fish and the ones we did catch were very nice in size and probably would of easily won a 5 fish tournament. The water level is way down and weeds are not as healthy and prevelant as usual. You should be able to catch fish but be patient and confident!(2 very important words!) Jigs
  6. I'll be out in the A.M. to check it out. I'll let you know how it goes! Jigs
  7. Ranger, I'm sorry about your bass thumb problem! To cure any future occurances, fish with me next time and I won't tell anyone where you whacked em! Promise! HA! Jigs

  9. My brother may be interested. He will e-mail you soon! Jigs
  10. Thanks Hog! I am looking forward to it! I've heard a lot of good things about the fishing there! Jigs
  11. I've fished a lot of lakes for bass but plan on making my first trip to Waconia this Summer in July. I was just looking for some insight on the lake(structure, clarity, etc.) and on the bass fishing. Any info would be great! I appreciate it! Great Site! Jigs
