Seems like the numbers are down some this year I run hare with beagles so seem to always find one or 2 somewere.

If you had to live around wolves or if you have ever lost livestock or any animal to a wolf you would be signing a different tune. Its pretty obvoius that you live no were around wolfs. fear the human race killing & hurting children moreso than wolves. seriously, who is the worst offender BY FAR of the two, humans or wolves. its always woe is me the human, which are bunch of whiny spoiled cry baby brats. wolves hunting for survival vs humans hunting for sport. your in their territory which is an assumed risk. this all sounds just like hysteria of kill all the sharks, sharks are evil yet humans are swimming in the ocean. . is it a wolf problem or a people problem? i'd rather see something done about our over populated species then the miniscule population of natural predators compared.

Back in September a friend of mine was in a UKC nite hunt up by Bemidji and wolves came in and killed his dog right on the spot and injured another. If I can dig up the pics i will post on here.

Thank You] usually plenty of pups for sale on there as for guys in MN right now not sure who has any right now. We have a ukc hunt and show this weekend at our club i can ask and see if any one does there.

You looking for a pup started dog or finished dog.

Well you would be better off with a actual bird dog but if you can get the dog to stay close enough you might be ok for just flushing birds.

I feed my hounds and bird dog High standerd it is a 26 18 really well made feed keeps dogs looking sharp no matter how hard you hunt them always have a nice tight stool.

Hey coonchaser were are you from in MN and do you run to any of the nite hunts might know ya.

As far as hounds being family pet all depends on the dogs certain strains of hounds are more high strung then others. but they do generally make good family dogs as well as hunting. Also as far as the cold weather there again all goes back to how much hair they have most hounds don't have much but a good dog house with lots of bedding will keep even the short haird do warm with lots of bedding. If you don't want one with lots of hunt maybe you should look into the cur breed they hunt with you more so then alot of the hounds now days

It all depends on what your looking for as apose to a pup started or finished dog. Let me know what your looking for and maybe i can help you out some how. As far as walkers and black and tans there is plenty of breeders in mn for both.

Most of your backyard breeders are just breeding for money and have no intent on breeding for certain qualities that strain of dogs needs to improve on. I don't know much on how the lab breeders are but lots and lots of the hound breeders just are going on selling pups on just papers and not the quality of dogs and doubleing up on traits that you want to stay away from as far as that goes im shure some of your so called back yard breeders are doing the same thing with the bird dog breeds.
