I am looking at a 40 acre parcel to buy for hunting and noticed some properties that either border or are actually with in the state forest or county land. If anyone has any opinions based on their experience hunting on land like this, I am interested to hear. Just not sure what route I want to go whether to bud up against state property or not.. thanks for any help

I have looked everywhere and can't find any information.. How far can you bowhunt from a residence and buildings.. I live on 4 wooded acres and would like to bow hunt but can't find out how far away you have to be to hunt.. anyone know where a guy could find that information out? thanks

So I just pulled the boat out today and checked the motor oil on the dip stick and noticed it had a white thick color to it..the motor was in for service over the winter and the dealer changed the oil. Is this something for winterizing?? or do I have bigger problems.... The motor is a 2005 Mercury 115 4 stroke.. any help on this would be great, thanks.

I grew up living on the fon du lac reservation and from my own experience I have not noticed anything different from hunting around here at my house then anywhere else in the state. I have hunted in many places and some of the biggest deer I have ever seen were right on the Reservation. As stated above..being here everyday.. Im not sure as many indians hunt as people think.. ya they can start in sept. but I haven't witnessed much. I don't see a difference living here then anywhere else.. other then there are local cops, state patrol, and tribal police..so you have to be a little more careful with the speed limit! other then that i love it here..

so i purchased the medium monster box.. anyone ever installed one on the new polaris wheelers..? I was looking at it, im not sure where to even start. There is no room to slip the nuts and a wrench under the rack between the fenders..also, i noticed the lip on the back of the rack, do you have to actually have to mount the box ontop of that..? because if you were to mount it in the groove at the monster box haves, it wouldn't allow the seat to be removed.. any help would be much appreciated.. thanks Nick

well.. i just purchased mine tonight.. a 06 700 efi with the camo package for 6800.. took a lot of wheelin and dealin. whether thats a good deal or not im not sure..i also bought a handwarmer and windshield for 220 installed and got him to throw in a set of tire chains.. did i do alright..?

something fishy, i am looking at getting a 06 sportsman 500 efi tomorrow.. with a winch... what kind of deal did you get on your pair?

it appears the shift link is hangin up.. when i get the lower unit with in a 1/2" or so.. of where its supposed to be.. it looks like the drive shaft is pushing up?? on the linkage.. and thats causing it to bind and not shift as a result.. I think.. thats the only thing i can figure out when looking at it..Im not sure how the drive shaft connects up inside the motor.. so its only a guess..

all went good, but i can't seem to get the lower unit on all the way.. i was turning the drive shaft and then it went up onto the bolts but its still a good 1/2" from making contact to where its suppose to be.. i tried everything..and there always is a gap there..

thanks guys for the reply..i might try it myself.. sounds easy enough.. i talked to mercury today and because the impeller is a maintiance item, i will not void any kind of warranty by doing it my self.. thanks. i will give it a shot..

motor wouldn't [PoorWordUsage] for me last weekend.. I brought it home and flushed it out on the driveway. .and tried cleaning out the pee hole.. no luck.. Dealer says it might be the water pump.. which is not under warranty!! I bought the boat new this summer..so it does not have many hours on it.. anyone with any info.. could I replace it myself.? they want 150-200 to replace it!.. i bought a new boat for a reason..so you can imagine how i feel at this point. thanks

Just curious how many people hunt around the st. cloud and particulary the sartell area? I just recently moved here and thought about drivin around asking for permission, but a couple people told me its not worth trying because they seen so many people hunting the area already. anybody notice a lot of hunting pressure..? just wondering if its worth a shot.. thanks
