  1. Must remember some people are enthusiast and will be willing to fork out money for very little gain or bling. In in hobby or passion, you can always spend a bit more to get more refinement or style. Some may not understand the concept but for some enthusiast knowing and feeling good about their gears makes fishing more fun. Like anything in life, if you are happy with it then it was worth it.
  2. Glad to hear you got it resolve. Just an FYI for next time or for somebody else. Joes sporting goods doesn't do the over the counter program. They send it in for you. Cost you $20 and 4-6 weeks wait.
  3. Thank you for the reply. One of these days I will have to just do that, force myself to learn by using that technique for that day. BTW deep cranking are the odds better at getting big fish like 4+ pounders? When I shallow crank most of the time it'll never produce bigger fish than plastics.
  4. I have never really dedicated a few fishing trips to deep diving cranking for big bass. Heard that now in the late summer is a good time when they hit up the deep for cooler waters. Hoping to land some 4+ pounders. I got a setup dedicated for that and would like to put it to use and not just part of my collection. Like usual, if you haven't catch fish on that technique you just don't have confidence in it and switch after a few minutes. If anyone could guide me on this it would be great. Questions are; Time of season? Depths? Colors? Lakes? Thanks in advance.
  5. Wow I shall keep that in mind one of these days and try it out. I went to St. Croix (wayside scenic) and got no bites. Came back to the energy plant channel and skunked out too. Stopped by Hudson dyke (spelling) and nothing. Feel like I should call it a year. Maybe I'm fishing too early in the day and should wait for sunset. Just gets cold quick these days.

I'm still surprise you guys are still catching LMB this late in the year. Went to a metro lake and skunked out....twice.
  7. Public beaches? I have never thought of that. Why would that be a good spot considering it has not structure down below.
  8. Pool 2 is such a big stretch. Just looking to get some bites, snap some pictures, and let em go. Pool 2 is catch and release only, hope that means they are bigger.
  9. Anyone know spots where you could shore fish for Smallies? Thinking about taking my little cousin before water freezes over. Spots I know seems like water level are way too low this time of year. I've never fished this late in the year before.
  10. Anyone know spots where you could shore fish for walleyes? Thinking about taking my little cousin before water freezes over. Spots I know seems like water level are way too low this time of year.
