Our archery club, Chilakoot Bowhunters, has held a youth archery league for several years now. Last year, I took over the lead just because no one else was willing to take it on. I had no idea how rewarding the experience would be. We had about 60 kids sign up this year, from ages 5 - 17. We broke these up into age classes, then moved some around more by experience levels. Younger kids at 9:00, intermediates at 10:00, experienced at 11:00. It was an 8 week commitment. This last Saturday morning was the final day. It was just fun shooting after 7 weeks of scoring. We shot 800 balloons! We then handed out trophies to all the winning shooters and finished the day with 25 pizzas. Everyone had a great time and I ended up with more hugs and handshakes than one man deserves in a lifetime. I'll let the pics take you through the last two months:
