Like to start out and let you all know to mark your calendars for November 18th. Marine General will be having the annual turkey fry day. This is a great event to get the ice fishing talk hot n heavy!!! Another date to mark down will be the Duluth Ice Fishing Show (December 11th-13th). Getting pumped! Bring It, bring on the ice!!! I apologize in advance if this has been talked about. If it has, please direct me to it. I am looking into getting another rod for lake trout fishing. I currently have a St Croix Premeire 32" (I created a longer handle for it, since it doesn't really come with one) and a Clam Dave Genz 34" H. I would like to try some of the rods out there that are a liitle longer. The three i have been curious about are the Clam Dave Genz Split Handle 40" H, Clam Jason Mitchell Mackinaw 38" MH, and the Wright & McGill Power Ice Max Ice Rod 50" H. I know there are better options out there with custom builds and places like Thorne Brothers. I really want to know what people think of these rods that i listed. This rod will also get used for jigging for pike. Thanks for any advice.
