  1. Thanks Don for your response, I really apreicate the comments feom both of you guys on this matter.
  2. Thanks Archery sniper for your insight! I think they are local birds because I have them on my trail camera in July and august, pecking at my food plot and i know for sure that the birds have been roosting, along side of this valley, at least three times and last year I know there was a few birds, roosting in different parts of the woods, last year when I was bow hunting. Four years ago, there was not a single bird to be heard or seen on this land that I hunt dear on so I'm pretty happy that the birds have come to my woods and I would like to keep that way if possible.
  3. I had been hunting birds and got one on Saturday morning. On Saturday night,my Son was hunting them and pushed them out of their roost and flew in different directions. I have been out hunting deer and I have not seen them Saturday morning. Will they come back this year or next spring? Thanks
  4. Hey guys, new to the ground blind hunting and I was wondering about leaving the screens down or leaving them up and shooting though them with my fixed board head ? I have practice allot in shooting out of my blind but, always had the screens up. I have the screens down and had three bucks within 25-35 yards, which was awesome to see at once but, none of them were legal but it was still cool to watch them.
  5. Already informed the land owner and he plans on doing something about it, next week. Thanks
  6. For sure, I plan on doing that, I want to get it done before to long for anything but his safety because my Son and myself plan on ML that woods and even thou we are very careful, I think it would be best that he gathers his equipment before we start to hunt it. Thanks again, good advise as well and no, I would never confront anyone like that without someone along. I other concern is that others do cross the land for goose hunting (if that is still on) and I do not want someone else to find it and take it, that would be not good.
  7. The guy who put the climber up, crossed the fence line and proceeded to walk across a private plowed field and put it up on a old fence line, about 75 yards long, grown up with small trees and brush. The deer cross the field and cross the old fence line and head into the woods that I hunt. The family that owns the land do not have no hunting posted on this old fence because its about 80 yards into private. I think what I will do, is leave a note, stating you are on private land. Some of the grandsons of the land owners told me to take it and use it for myself but, I want to give the person the benefit and if he does not move it after the note, then its coming with me after I leave or, I will call the C/O and report it. Thanks for all the comments on this topic, I have never came across this before so was not sure what to do. Thank You All.
  8. Was out hunting private land and came upon a climber and a camera, all set, ready to go. I was sure, i was the only one hunting this land but, I called the land owner and he confirmed, I was the only person hunting the land. The setup was all camo and at the very back of the woods so unless you are out and about, like I was, you would never see it. I'm thinking about leaving a note, stating you are on private land and please remove and give the guy the benefit that he may be thinking he is on land he can hunt.
  9. I hunted public land this weekend for the first time because the land we use to hunt, got sold and no hunting is allowed which is find but, never saw one deer, plenty of hunters which is fine but coming though all hours of day really is bad!!! Thanks .
  10. I second what HL stated. I knew Tom from his days of a Honda engine sales person and he is a great guy and honest as the day is long!! I have stayed at the Wigwam and very, very nice.....
  11. This weekend we went up to get our camping trailer ready for storage. Got up there on Friday night, fired up the furnace, ran fine until 5am on Saturday morning, went out!! Thought it was out of gas so switched tanks, fired up ran for about 10 seconds, shut up, fired up again, ran for 10 seconds and then noting. I lit the stove to make sure gas was coming though the lines and it was and went and shut off the furnace, waited, stitched it to air and then back to heat and started and did the same thing. I went outside and took the cover off to see if there was a reset or something but could not find anything. I was thinking make getting a air compressor and blowing it in there, thinking make a contact was dusty or not getting contact. Anyone have this happen before or what I should be looking for or doing would be helpful. Thanks.
  12. Guys, Thanks for all the impute, I will pass on and I'm sure it will have out in his making a purchase.
  13. I got a friend who wants to buy the easiest climber to use because as he puts it, he is not the brightest bulb on the tree and I know noting about climbers but, I wanted to help a fellow hunter make a good choice. I told him that Lone Wolf and Summit gets the most headlines or at least it seems but that is all i could tell him. Any comments would be great and keep in mine, the guy is no spring chicken so not sure how much strain of lifting of these is. He wants this because he has lost his land and will be doing park hunts. Thanks
  14. Active Scrape is it!! Thanks all.... I might give the Code Blue a shot if I find more than one scrape. Thanks.
  15. Got some new land to hunt turkeys and the land owner was telling us that a group of 8 on his farm is one white one and the other night we saw it with this group. I have never seen one but, I would think that it is not that rare.
