Unfortunately, the last time we had an RV trip, I was in charge of the meals and beverages. I had my work cut out for me in terms of buying all the food and drink supplies and making sure everyone was clean because there were over 30 of us in all. There were obviously certain things I missed since there were so many people to look after and mouths to feed (like buying plastic tubs for hand washing). I made a serious error there! I should have known better as there are certain portable sinks designed for circumstances just like this! Please let me know about any portable, highly compact ones you are aware of.

The Wife and I are getting out of town this weekend and going to do some camping up at Savanna Portage State Park in McGregor, MN. We used to camp a lot when we lived in Colorado but since we moved home we have only been once so we decided to change that. Neither of us have spent any time in McGregor so we're excited to see a new section of MN and a new State Park. We are going to bring the kayaks and try to get out fishing each day on some lakes up that way. I noticed a Trout lake in the Park that we will likely try and then we will probably leave the park and hit 1 or 2 nearby smaller lakes (as the wind will likely be a factor this weekend). Has anyone spent much time in the Park or the area? Any pointers on things we must see & do or recommendations on lakes in the area? Send me a message. I hope everyone is able to get out on the water this weekend as it's supposed to be WARM in most of MN.

Hi everyone, trying to plan out a winter camping trip for the first week of January and looking for some suggestions of MN lakes to look at. Spent a week on Trout Lake in the BWCA north of Vermillion last year fishing lakers and camped on Vermillion the year before that but looking for something new this year. Decided against another BWCA trip due to the work involved with hauling in all the gear so looking for something accessible by snowmobile. Ideally looking for Walleye and pike; crappie or other species would be a plus... I know both Upper red and LOTW are good fisheries but seems like camping there would be a little tricky as we typically just set up a tarp in a swamp or sheltered area and sleep under that. Not looking to steal anyones secret lake, just hoping for some suggestions of areas that we could check out. Thanks!
