Thank you WaxGuy. I did make it out Sunday and had a decent day. It was my first trout outing of the season, so this mediocre fly-fisherman left they fly-rod in the car and did some spin fishing. Caught and released the majority of the trout on a Panther Martin and one on a Rapala. All of the trout were around 8-12 inches, with one brown around 14 inches.

Has anyone visited Hay Creek recently? Looking to head there Sunday, but was concerned the creek may be running to high. If anyone has any info on the stream level it would be appreciated....thanks!

I have primarily fished for Minnesota Trout in SE Minnesota and the North Shore area. However, I will be moving relatively close to Savage and was curious if anyone has fished Eagle Creek. If so, is the trout population decent? What type of stream (small)is it? Or, I am a better off just planning on hitting Hay Creek and Whitewater this spring? Thanks in advance.
